Food is essential to our body. It nourishes our system and provides great satisfaction to our bellies. As I have grown up, I’ve learned that we can all come together through eating. There certainly isn’t a better way to express my love for food than to write a blog about all my eating adventures (unless the Food Network or Travel Channel give me my own TV show). And a better time couldn’t have come as I will be embarking on a culinary tour in Chicago this Labor Day weekend. The Windy City is famous for many good eats such as it’s own Chicago Style pizza, their quintessential hot dogs, and other gourmet high class restaurants. These reasons are why Chicago is the best place to start my first few postings for some of the great restaurants that I will be paying a visit to soon.
Where did I come up with the name The Culinary Sifu for this blog? Culinary because I wanted a fancy word that says something about food and Sifu, which is the Chinese word for master or teacher. I originally thought of The Culinary Meister or The Culinary Maestro, which means master in German or Italian, but eventually figured the use of a word that more accurately describes my Asian decent, so I opted for Sifu.
Stay tuned in the next few days for my first postings in Chicago!
You are a nerd. I probably the only one reading this
